Muralikrishnan B, the President of Xiaomi India, recently shared an update regarding the Redmi 12 series sales in India. Within a span of just 28 days, the Redmi 12 series achieved a significant milestone by selling one million units.
The Redmi 12 series in India starts at a competitive price point of 9999 rupees(about $121) for the 4GB+128GB variant, while the 12GB+128GB version is available at 15999 rupees(about $193).
As the inaugural digital series within the Redmi lineup, the Redmi12 5G comes equipped with Qualcomm’s second-generation Snapdragon 4 processor. This processor employs the same 4nm manufacturing process featured in the second-generation Snapdragon 8 flagship chip. Impressively, it achieves an AnTuTu benchmark score surpassing 450,000.
The device boasts a spacious 6.79-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2460 x 1080 pixels, along with support for a high refresh rate of 90Hz. Furthermore, the screen has successfully undergone SGS low blue light certification and offers a range of features including global DC dimming, paper eye protection mode, and a luminous screen, among others.
Notably, the Redmi 12 5G is furnished with a dual-camera setup featuring 50 Megapixels and 2 Megapixels on the rear, while the front camera boasts 8 Megapixels, amply catering to everyday photography needs. Additional functionalities include multi-function NFC, infrared remote control capabilities, a built-in 5000mAh battery, and support for 18W fast charging.
