NetherRealm Studios, the developer behind the highly anticipated “Mortal Kombat 1,” has unveiled exciting details about their upcoming DLC characters in a promotional video titled the “Fighting Pack.” Set to be released in Spring 2024, the pack will feature iconic characters like Homelander, Peacemaker, Omni-Man, Takeda, Quan Chi, and Ermac, among others. But that’s not all – the game will also see the addition of Li Mei, Tanya, and Baraka as available characters, as revealed in the latest promotional video.

At the Summer Game Festival, NetherRealm Studios and WB Games treated fans to a real machine demo of “Mortal Kombat 1,” where Ed Boon, the game director, provided a detailed introduction to the Kameo Fighters combat mechanism. This new feature allows players to call for assistance during battles, albeit with a cooling time, making strategic timing crucial for optimal usage.

“Mortal Kombat 1” will release on September 19. It’ll be available on PS5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC. Already launched on Steam, the standard version costs 384 yuan(about $53), and the advanced version costs 522 yuan(about $72). The Premium Edition provides early access to “Fighting Pack” DLC characters and 1250 Dragonglass in-game currency for extra perks.
