HTC discreetly introduces the standard edition of its HTC U23 on the official website, differing from the U23 Pro primarily in the camera module configuration. However, all other hardware specifications remain unchanged. The U23 comes in Aqua Blue and Roland Purple colors, while the U23 Pro is available in Coffee Black and Mu Xue White. Visually, the standard U23 shares a similar design to the U23 Pro.
The HTC U23 focuses on integrating HTC’s proprietary “VIVERSE” platform, enabling users to manage their “VIVERSE characters” and purchase and share NFT digital collections—similar to the U23 Pro in terms of software features.
Regarding hardware specifications, the HTC U23 boasts:
- A 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED display with FHD+ resolution (1080×2400).
- No optical anti-shake support for the camera.
- A 32-megapixel front lens (hole).
- Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen1 processor.
- Equipped with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM.
- A 4600mAh battery capacity with 30W fast charging, 15W wireless charging, and reverse charging capabilities.
- IP67 waterproof and dustproof rating, Wi-Fi 6, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and support for extended SD cards.
The camera setup is the primary distinction between the U23 standard version and the U23 Pro. The definitive version features three lenses, while the Pro comes with four lenses, including a 108-megapixel primary lens with optical anti-shake technology.
