Arno Antlitz, the Chief Financial Officer of Volkswagen, expressed confidence during the interview regarding the company’s plan to launch a 25,000-euro electric vehicle in 2025.

Antlitz highlighted that the Volkswagen ID.2 electric car would be the first model to utilize Volkswagen’s in-house battery. It will be supplied by their factory in Valencia, Spain. Additionally, the ID.2 follows a strategy of “selling in large volumes with small margins.” It will allow for an acceptable profit margin through economies of scale.
