On June 20th, Gizcoupon reported that ZTE had released a new model called the Nubia Neo 5G in the global market. Additionally, the 8+256GB version of this phone is 6,999 Thai Baht (approximately $201) in the Thai market.


This smartphone features the Unisoc T820 chipset. It does not support expandable memory but features 18GB of virtual memory. Furthermore, the device boasts a 6.6-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2408×1080 and supports a 120Hz refresh rate.

The phone has a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50+2MP configuration and an 8MP front-facing selfie camera. It also adopts a side-mounted fingerprint recognition solution and retains the 3.5mm headphone jack. Additionally, it supports DTS:X audio and NFC. The device houses a 4,500mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support and a thickness of approximately 7.98mm.

The Unisoc T820 is an octa-core CPU processor that performs on par with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G and Huawei Kirin 820.
It adopts a 1+3+4 tri-cluster eight-core CPU architecture, comprising one 2.7GHz Arm Cortex-A76 high-performance core, three 2.3GHz Arm Cortex-A76 high-performance cores, and four 2.1GHz Arm Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. It also supports a 3MB L3 cache.
Furthermore, the Unisoc T820 comes with the Arm Mali-G57 MC4 GPU, operating at a frequency of up to 850MHz.

Gizcoupon has noted several benchmark scores for the Unisoc T820:
- GeekBench 4: Single-core score of 2857 and multi-core score of 8410.
- GeekBench 5: Single-core score of 639 and multi-core score of 2283.
- GFXBench 5 T-Rex: Score of 88 FPS.
- GFXBench 5 Manhattan 3.0 1080p (offscreen): Score of 55 FPS.
- GFXBench 5 Manhattan 3.1 1080p (offscreen): Score of 37 FPS.
Based on the test results of the Unisoc T820, the performance of this chipset is approximately at the mid-range level in the current smartphone market. It still has room for improvement, and we can expect more progress from UNISOC in the future.
