This partnership involves integrating AI technology from Everstream Analytics into the systems of Jaguar Land Rover to mitigate potential global supply problems in the future.
JLR stated that AI technology would enable real-time monitoring of their supply chain. It ensures the protection of their current vehicle models as well as the production of next-generation EVs. The company indicated that AI technology has helped them avoid the risk of disruptions in vehicle deliveries at global cargo ports.
Barbara Bergmeier, the Executive Director of Industrial Operations at Jaguar Land Rover, expressed in a statement, “Through our collaboration with Everstream Analytics, we are harnessing the power of AI to manage risks before production interruptions occur proactively.” The statement further explained that this technology combines AI, predictive analytics, machine learning, and human intuition to identify emerging risk events on a world map. These events include natural disasters, strikes, data breaches, and export issues.
In previous reports by Gizcoupon, it was highlighted that Jaguar Land Rover, a subsidiary of Tata Motors in India, has been severely affected by the global semiconductor chip shortage. This situation led to production cutbacks for certain vehicle models. However, the company returned to profitability over the past two quarters.
