On May 20th, Gizcoupon reported that Xiaomi official WeChat account on the Chinese social platform has announced today the release of the Android 14 public beta version and the progress of compatibility adaptation.
According to Xiaomi’s notification, “Google I/O developer conference has officially released the second public beta of Android 14. Moreover, Xiaomi has adapted and released the MIUI 14 developer preview version based on Android 14 Beta 1 for the first time. With the release of the second public beta of Android 14, Xiaomi will also initiate compatibility adaptation work to enhance the performance experience of Android applications. We hope that developers can update their adaptations in a timely manner to provide users with a better upgrade experience. In order to facilitate developers in adapting to Android 14, Xiaomi provides two methods: ‘Developer Adaptation Native Package’ and ‘Cloud Testing Real Device Debugging.‘ Additionally, developers can choose according to their own needs.”
The initial batch of devices adapted to Android 14 Beta 1 by Xiaomi includes the Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, and Xiaomi Tablet 6. Furthermore, users can visit the Xiaomi community to download the corresponding version and upgrade.
