On May 19th, Gizcoupon reported that iQOO has officially announced on their Weibo(Chinese social platform) account that their first Pad will make its appearance at a press conference on May 23rd at 19:00 (Beijing time). The official statement emphasizes its focus on “performance and a large display,” and pre-orders have already begun. Additionally, iQOO will also release the iQOO Neo8 series on May 23rd, Beijing time.
The video showcases the iQOO Pad featuring the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset. Furthermore, it sports a circular camera module on the rear.
The iQOO Pad is available in four configurations: 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB. It also comes in an Interstellar Grey color version. Official accessories include the iQOO Pencil stylus, which supports wireless magnetic attachment and quick charging. The iQOO Smart Touch Keyboard is also available, featuring a spacious touchpad.
Gizcoupon’s investigation reveals that this iQOO Pad has obtained the 3C certification in China. It supports up to 44W fast charging. According to a leak from the Digital Chatter Station, the iQOO Pad is essentially a rebranded version of the vivo Pad 2, with minimal changes in terms of specifications. However, the performance optimization is expected to be more aggressive with the adoption of the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset.
For comparison, the vivo Pad 2 was released in April this year. It features a 12.1-inch LCD screen with a 2.8K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a brightness of 600 nits. Additionally, it supports the P3 color gamut and chip-level intelligent blue light protection. The MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset powers it, houses a 10,000mAh battery with 44W flash charging and supports USB 3.2 Gen1. The device has a thickness of 6.59mm and weighs approximately 585g. It boasts an all-metal body design and has a proprietary six-speaker super audio system.
