On May 19th, Gizcoupon reported that it had been announced that the iQOO Neo8 series would be released on May 23rd at 19:00 Beijing time. iQOO official Weibo (a Chinese social media platform) has started warming up the iQOO Neo8/Pro Series. The entire iQOO Neo8 lineup will come with a standard 120W flash charge, capable of charging from 1% to 50% in just 9 minutes. Additionally, it features an equivalent 5000mAh battery.
iQOO Neo8/Pro series specifications
The iQOO Neo8 series adopts a centered punch-hole display with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Moreover, it boasts a 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and a screen pixel density of 452PPI.
Furthermore, the gaming experience on the iQOO Neo8 Pro has been enhanced. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate, MAGT adaptive display quality, and supports 4D game vibration feedback. It is already compatible with games such as “Arena of Valor” (a popular Chinese mobile game). Furthermore, it will also support the new generation Wi-Fi 7 standard.
The iQOO Neo8 series includes the iQOO Neo8 and iQOO Neo8 Pro models. They will have the self-developed V1+ chip, supporting a 144Hz high refresh rate.
iQOO also revealed that the iQOO Neo8 Pro would feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chip (note: it consists of 1 Cortex-X3@3.35GHz ultra-large core, 3 Cortex-A715@3.00GHz big cores, and 4 Cortex-A510@2.00GHz small cores). Additionally, it will be built on TSMC’s 4nm process. According to Geekbench 6 scores, the CPU single-core performance will improve by 10%, and the GPU G715’s MHT 3.0 performance will also increase by 10%.
According to previous leaks from @数码闲聊站, the iQOO Neo8 Pro series will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen. This screen has a 1.5K resolution and an under-display fingerprint sensor. It is expected to run on the OriginOS 3 system based on Android 13. The device is rumored to have a 16MP front camera and a 50MP Sony IMX866V main camera on the back.
