On May 19th, Gizcoupon reported that Google is set to introduce some fresh design elements with the upcoming Pixel 8 Pro, as reported by international media outlet 91mobiles.

As can be seen from the leaked images, the back of the Pixel 8 Pro maintains the family-style camera arrangement. However, a notable addition is a new sensor located below the flash on the right side. Rumors suggest that this is an infrared thermometer sensor specifically designed for temperature measurement. When in use, users are required to align the sensor on the back of the phone with their forehead, tap to initiate the process, and within 5 seconds, move the phone towards their temple. Upon completion, the phone will vibrate, followed by the display of the temperature test result.

Furthermore, this sensor is also capable of measuring the temperature of objects. Leaks indicate that the infrared thermometer sensor will be exclusive to the Pixel 8 Pro model.
