According to the latest update from Gizcoupon on May 8th, Xiaomi‘s 5G phone with model number 23046PNC9C has completed the 3C certification of China procedure. It is believed to be the upcoming Xiaomi Civi 3. Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China updated the phone’s certification information, revealing a new version with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
It is worth noting that previously, Gizcoupon cited digital blogger @数码闲聊站’s report that the Xiaomi Civi3 supports 5G network roaming in different networks. It means that the phone can access 5G networks of different carriers without the need to change SIM cards, as long as there is a 5G signal available. For instance, if a user is using a SIM card from carrier A and there is no 5G coverage from that carrier in their current location. However, carrier B has 5G coverage; the Xiaomi Civi3 will prioritize connecting to carrier B’s 5G signal. This is a first of its kind when different operators in China do not communicate with each other.
In addition, the report also mentioned that the Xiaomi Civi 3 will come with a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor. It will feature dual front-facing cameras, both using Samsung S5KGD2 sensors with a resolution of 32 million pixels. The rear camera will use a Sony IMX800 sensor with a large bottom surface. The screen will support a high refresh rate of 120Hz. As for the battery, it will have a capacity of 4500mAh and support 67W fast charging.
