The average selling price of its smartphones reached $988 (approximately ¥6,837 RMB), representing a 12% increase from the same period last year. This figure is also close to the psychological barrier of $1,000, indicating Apple’s strong position in the high-end market.
The latest report from market research firm CIRP shows that the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are the most popular models among Apple smartphones, accounting for nearly half the total sales. These two models are relatively expensive. In addition, users’ demand for phone storage is also increasing, leading to more people choosing higher-capacity phones, further boosting the average selling price.
CIRP analysts pointed out that it is highly unusual for Apple to achieve an increase in the average selling price in a quarter that is typically considered less than ideal. Generally, the average selling price of Apple phones reaches its peak in September and December each year due to the release of new models and holiday promotions. However, Apple successfully attracted more users to purchase high-end phones by optimizing its product portfolio and providing rich recycling plans.
