Gizcoupon reported on April 26th that Google is preparing to launch a new mid-range smartphone, the Pixel 7a. It was previously rumored that this phone would be officially released on May 11th, Beijing time. Its price is $499. The Pixel 7a will be available in three colors: silver, gray-black, and light blue. Additionally, they officially named “Cotton,” “Carbon,” and “Arctic Blue,” respectively. Recently, netizens exposed the official protective case of the Pixel 7a, revealing the design details of the three colors.
Google Pixel 7a official protective case
It is reported that the official protective case of the Pixel 7a is similar to that of the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro. It uses an opaque material to avoid the problems of translucent cases turning yellow and wearing out. The power button and volume button of the protective case match the color of the phone itself but do not have a metallic luster. The protective case also features a metal “G” logo, consistent with the Pixel 7 series.
The price of the official protective case for the Pixel 7a has not yet been announced but is expected to be around $29.99, the same as the Pixel 7 series. However, some users may feel that the official protective case does not provide sufficient protection for the Pixel 7a’s camera module so they may consider other brands of protective cases.
According to previous reports, the Pixel 7a will be equipped with Google’s self-developed Tensor G2 chip. It is an 8-core processor based on 5nm process technology with powerful artificial intelligence capabilities. Moreover, the Pixel 7a will also feature a 6.1-inch OLED screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz. It also features a 64MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and support for wireless charging. In terms of storage, the Pixel 7a may come in two combinations: 128GB with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM.
