On April 18th, Gizcoupon reported that Diemit, a developer of the open-source HarmonyOS (OpenHarmony) and a popular user on the Chinese video-sharing platform Bilibili, announced that he had successfully ported the OpenHarmony system to the Xiaomi 6 smartphone. Additionally, he has been continuously updated on the progress of the adaptation. Recently, Diemit also managed to run the latest OpenHarmony 3.2 Release version on the Xiaomi POCO F1 phone.
A video demonstration showcases the OpenHarmony homepage, Wi-Fi connection, F-OH application market, device information, browsing web pages, virtual keyboard application, clock application, Tetris game emulator, “2048” number game, and more, which all run relatively smoothly.
According to Gizcoupon, the Xiaomi POCO F1 features a Snapdragon 845 chip. Moreover, it comes with a 6.18-inch Notch screen with a resolution of 1080×2246. It has a front 20-megapixel camera and a rear dual camera with 12 million and 5 million pixels. In addition, it also has a built-in 4000mAh battery.
OpenHarmony, incubated and operated by the OpenAtom Foundation, is an open-source project.
