Xiaomi founder Lei Jun said on Weibo that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is not just a new flagship professional camera phone but also marks the “second chapter” of Xiaomi’s imaging strategy upgrade, ushering in the era of mobile optical imaging. Lei Jun stated that relying solely on computational imaging is far from people’s true visual perception. It has led to people becoming increasingly tired of the “plastic taste” of phone photos. Returning to the roots of imaging, Xiaomi and Leica engineers have made long-term efforts to systematically bring Leica’s professional optical capabilities to the field of mobile imaging. The perfect Leica Summicron lens for mobile imaging will be unveiled to the public.
