Gizcoupon reported on April 11th that a video of an iPhone 15 Pro model was seen on Douyin(Chinese TikTok). The video showcases the rumored design of the device. The main hardware features of the iPhone 15 Pro include a solid-state button, a USB-C port, and a titanium alloy frame.
The video didn’t reveal new information but showed a 3D display of the iPhone 15 Pro’s appearance. The device is similar to the iPhone 14 Pro, with longer volume buttons and an “Action button” instead of the mute switch. It may be based on leaked CAD drawings from an iPhone case manufacturer.
It is currently unclear whether the rear camera bump or other aspects of the model are entirely proportional or whether, as shown in the video, it will retain a physical SIM card slot in some countries. Apple removed the SIM card slot from all iPhone 14 models in the United States last year.
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says all iPhone 15 models will have USB-C. Pro models may support Thunderbolt 3 or USB 3.2, offering faster data transfer. All four models will also be equipped with a flexible OLED screen.
Apple may release the iPhone 15 series at its September event. The Pro models may have exclusive features: an A17 Bionic chip, narrower bezels, faster Wi-Fi 6E, and larger memory.
