OnePlus unveiled its new Nord CE 3 Lite, a budget-friendly smartphone with upgraded features. It is an improved version of its predecessor, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite. The new phone boasts some impressive features, including a 108MP camera and a Snapdragon 695 chip.
The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite features a 108MP camera that utilizes a Samsung ISOCELL HM6 sensor. Furthermore, the sensor’s pixels can be combined in a 9-to-1 ratio, resulting in 12MP photos and an effective pixel size of 1.92µm. Additionally, the device offers support for 3x lossless zoom and 6x digital zoom, as well as a 2MP macro and 2MP depth camera. Notably, the Nord CE 3 Lite’s camera outperforms the 64MP/0.7µm sensor found on the Nord CE 2 Lite.
The Snapdragon 695 chip, built on a 6nm process, powers the phone. One of its limitations is that it can only support video recording up to 1080p@30fps. But the base memory has been increased to 8GB, and it runs on OxygenOS 13.1 (based on Android 13) out of the box. Storage options include UFS 2.2 128GB or 256GB. In addition, it supports for a hybrid microSD slot that can accommodate a second SIM card or up to 1TB of additional storage.
The Nord CE 3 Lite has a 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD display. It has a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. Additionally, it has a typical brightness of 550 nits and a peak brightness of 680 nits. Furthermore, the phone is thinner with a thickness of 8.3mm and weighs 195g. It is available in two colors: Blue Void and Charcoal Ink.
The phone features a 5000mAh battery and 67W SuperVOOC fast charging. Additionally, it can charge up to 80% in just 30 minutes. SuperVOOC Endurance prevents overcharging and slows down battery aging, thus enabling the battery to last up to 4 years with daily charging. Moreover, the phone has stereo speakers (with a 200% larger volume mode) and a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired headphones.
