Starting tomorrow, the new Xiaomi Notebook 12.4 2-in-1 will be available for pre-sale at Xiaomi Mall, Xiaomi Youpin, and JD.com. The product is the Chinese version of the Xiaomi Book S 12.4, released globally in June last year. As the name implies, the latter is a business-class laptop that comes with corresponding features and the look.
Xiaomi Notebook 12.4 selling points
The Xiaomi Book S 12.4 is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8cx Gen2 processor. In terms of performance, the Snapdragon 8cx Gen2 is far inferior to the current mainstream processors in the ultrabooks. In the GeekBench benchmark platform, this chip scores only 760 points and 3072 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.
As for other aspects, this laptop has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space. The latter can be expanded to 512 GB through a micro SD card slot. Also, under the hood, it has a 38.08 Wh / 4,920 mAh battery that supports 65 W fast charging.
One of the biggest highlights of the Xiaomi Book S 12.4 is the 12.4-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, a peak brightness of 500 nits, a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, touch support, and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass.
Well, this is a business laptop, so there should be some appropriate features and design elements. For instance, this is a 2-in-1 notebook designed with an aluminum-magnesium alloy body. It weighs 685g. It comes with an ARM-based version of Windows 11. There is a USB-C and a 3.5mm audio interface.
