The long-awaited launch of the global version of the OnePlus 11 is just around the corner. A little over a week is left before the presentation of the new flagship internationally. At the event, the company will also unleash its new TWS headphones, the Buds Pro 2, and the first Android tablet, the OnePlus Pad. However, it seems that these are not the only products that will be uncovered by this brand. According to various rumors, OnePlus is working on two folding screen smartphones.

OnePlus is already testing new folding screen smartphones

The first model will apparently be called the OnePlus V Flip, while the second model is going to be called the V Fold. Based on the models we’ve seen from other brands that also use the Flip and Fold phrases in the titles, we can assume that the V Fold version will be more expensive.

Judging by the tweet, OnePlus has already patented the names of both devices. In addition, internal testing of both or at least one of the two models has begun. Internal tests are currently underway in several regions, including Europe. But, unfortunately, there is no more information about the upcoming products.

This is not the first time that we have heard OnePlus is working on folding screen smartphones. Back in 2022, the brand’s head of software, Gary Chen, hinted at the launch of such models. He showed a teaser of the hinge mechanism being tested. Notably, OPPO also recently launched its N2 series of foldable phones, as well as the new N2 Flip, which is the first clamshell foldable model of the company. So, there’s a chance that future OnePlus foldable phones will have features or design elements inherited from the parent company. We guess more info on these handsets will be disclosed during the MWC 2023 world exhibition.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
