Xiaomi is picking up pace with its MIUI 14 update program. The brand has been releasing both stable and beta versions of its new software for a number of smartphones in China. But the company has also updated some devices in the global market too. The latest devices to receive the Android 13 update are the Redmi Note 10 Pro, Note 11T Pro Plus, Redmi K40S, and Redmi K50G.

All these devices are getting the MIUI 14 update in China. The update includes all the new features introduced by Google in the latest version of Android. There are some Xiaomi-exclusive goodies as well. New software is released in batches, and each batch has a limited number of users. So if you still haven’t got your portion, just wait a little more.

As a reminder, the latest Xiaomi firmware, MIUI 14, has an elegant design and is considered the lightest version. It has an improved system architecture and a new Photon Engine that promises faster app loading. In addition to improved performance, MIUI 14 also brings a number of visual changes. Users can now customize folders with larger icons and choose from a variety of widgets in different shapes and sizes. The MIUI Team has also added new features, such as automatic compression for rarely used apps, the ability to turn off undesired notifications, and home screen favorites.

Which Xiaomi models are getting the MIUI 14 update?

A recent report revealed Xiaomi would update the Redmi Note 9 series and the Poco M2 with MIUI 14. Given that most models in these lineups have already received two MIUI updates and two Android updates, it is likely that MIUI 14 will be the last OS update for these devices.

The information comes from XIAOMIUI, which has found out the name of the devices on which the latest MIUI 14 firmware will arrive:

  • Redmi 9/10Х 4G/10Х 5G/10Х Pro 5G;
  • Redmi Note 9/Note 9S/Note 9 Pro/9 Pro Max/Note 9 Pro 5G;
  • Poco M2/M2 Pro.

However, you should take this with a grain of salt. The reason for the pessimism is the lack of Mi 10T Lite 5G / Mi 10i 5G smartphones on the list, which are clones of the Note 9 Pro 5G mentioned in the listing for the international and Indian markets, respectively.
