The first gaming smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 flagship ship was announced in China on December 26 last year. But besides this market, Nubia has planned to bring this gaming smartphone to the global market too. This event will take place tomorrow, January 16. Unfortunately, the highest variant, the Red Magic 8 Pro+, will not go on sale outside China. Moreover, the global version of the Red Magic 8 Pro has got some changes in terms of hardware.
Red Magic 8 Pro global specs
When saying it has got some modifications, first, we mean that instead of 80W fast charging, the Pro Global will only support 65W fast charging. Fortunately, there are no major differences between the Chinese and the international models.
As a reminder, the Pro variant has up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of flash storage. The phone also sports an OLED screen with a diagonal of 6.8 inches, a resolution of 2480×1116 pixels, and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. This is an off-screen camera smartphone. So the phone hides the 16-megapixel camera sensor under the screen.
Other noteworthy specs include stereo speakers, a 50-megapixel main camera, a battery with a capacity of 6000 mAh, and Android 13 with the Red Magic OS 6.0 interface. By the way, in the autonomy test, the Red Magic 8’s Pro won the title of the long-lasting flagship on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. It remained alive for 47 hours.
Thus, there is every reason to think that the Pro version is the best gaming handset on the planet at the moment. It not only comes with the latest Qualcomm top-end platform but also sports all the latest innovations, including the under-screen camera, fast charging solutions, large-capacity battery, power-saving modes, etc.
