After many months of being the talk of the town, the Redmi K60 series of flagship phones was out. It includes several models. Let’s start with the vanilla variant.

As the standard model in the series, the Redmi K60 comes with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. At the same time, it sports a 6.67-inch top-notch 2K screen. By the way, this is the same as what the high-end K60 Pro uses. It comes with a 12-bit color depth, 120Hz refresh rate, and a global peak brightness of 1000 nits.
This time, the company has added a special plain leather version. It has a leather texture and stitching design similar to car interiors. This variant comes in a neutral blue-purple tone, with both tough lines and a comfortable feel. The plain skin itself uses a glass fiber substrate. The thickness is effectively reduced (8.79mm). So it is almost equivalent to the glass version (8.59mm).
On the rear is a triple camera, which includes a 64MP OIS main sensor, which also supports a four-in-one shooting and has a 1.4μm large pixel size, an aperture of F/1.79, and a 6P lens. An 8MP super wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro lens supplement it.
This device also has a large 5500mAh battery, which supports 67W wired fast charging. According to the official introduction, the phone can reach 100% in 50 minutes. In a test, its autonomy reached 1.47 days. Plus, the Redmi K60 standard edition supports 30W wireless charging.
Interestingly, this version comes with the same cooling system as the K60 Pro. It uses a 5000mm2 super large VC heat dissipation.
The handset uses LPDDR5+UFS 3.1 memory and storage combination. Other features include infrared remote control, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, etc.
Price and availability
In terms of price, the 8+128GB costs 2499 yuan ($359), the 8+256GB model is 2699 yuan ($387), the 12+256GB version is 2999 yuan ($461), the 12+512GB variant comes for 3299 yuan ($747), and the top 16+512GB version is 3599 yuan ($517). It will commence shipping on December 31.
