OPPO has launched two new foldable that are going to make tough competition with the Samsung Galaxy Z line handsets. One is challenging the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, while the second model aims at the Galaxy Z Flip 4. We are talking about the OPPO Find N2 and Flip.
OPPO Find N2 specs
The OPPO Find N2 is available in three colors and two material variants. The black variant uses leather on the back, while the green and white versions are made of glass.
In fact, the company has done a huge job of making the overall look and the hinge outstanding. For instance, it uses aerospace-grade materials to miniaturize the shape of the hinge. At the same time, the phone has a carbon fiber frame. The screws used in the phone use custom titanium alloys. In effect, the weight is reduced to 233g, which is even comparable to the mainstream flagship candy bar phones on the market.
There is a 7.1-inch internal screen, which uses the Samsung E6 OLED material and boasts a number of specs, such as a ratio of 8.4:9, a resolution of 1792*1920, a pixel density of 370PPI, and a global peak brightness of 1200 nits. The external screen is also made of Samsung E6. this 5.54-inch screen has a ratio of 17.7:9, 2120*1080 resolution, 429PPI pixel density, and 100% P3 color gamut coverage. Both displays support a 120Hz refresh rate.
The rest of the selling points include a Snapdragon 8+ Gen chip, a 4520mAh battery supporting 67W charging, and many more. But we’d like to focus on the camera. The main camera module includes a Sony MX890 50MP primary camera with a 1/1.56-inch outsole, a Sony IMX581 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 32MP 2X telephoto lens. The front camera has a 32MP resolution.
At the same time, it is equipped with Mariana MariSilicon X 6nm image-specific NPU. The latter has 18 trillion in computing power. Plus, the Hasselblad mobile phone imaging system is there as well.
The 12GB+256GB and 16GB+512GB variants are priced at 7999 yuan ($1147) and 8999 yuan ($1290), respectively. The phone will start shipping on December 23.
The clamshell version
The OPPO Find N2 Flip comes in three colorways. The foldable screen is 6.8 inches and uses the same E6 material. The rest of the selling points include a refresh rate of 120Hz, 1600 nits of local peak brightness, a P3 wide color gamut, and HDR10+.
The Find N2 Flip also comes with a 17:9 ratio and a 3.26-inch secondary screen, which can display various information, such as notifications, reminders, weather, etc.
The 4300mAh battery supports 44W fast charging, and there is also the popular Dimensity 9000+ chip. The OPPO Find N2 Flip is the industry’s first small folding phone supporting dual SIM and 5G.
The main camera of the OPPO Find N2 Flip uses a 50MP IMX890 super-sensitive outsole sensor. It is capable of reproducing true colors in any light environment. On the front, this phone carries a Sony IMX709 sensor, which cooperates with OPPO’s self-developed beauty algorithm to present a more natural and clear selfie performance. Of course, two other techs are there as well – Hasselblad ultra-clear image quality engine and Mariana MariSilicon X.
The OPPO Find N2 Flip will charge you 5,999 yuan ($860) for 8GB+256GB, 6,399 yuan ($918) for 12GB+256GB, and 6,999 yuan ($1007) for 16GB+512GB. It will start shipping on December 30.
