On December 15 last year, OPPO launched its first folding screen smartphone called the OPPO Find N. It came with a flagship chip, the Snapdragon 888. Also, this phone boasts a 7.1-inch foldable inner screen and a 5.49-inch outer screen. The starting price was 7699 yuan ($1096). Don’t you think it’s the right time for the OPPO Find N2?
We guess the next-gen OPPO Find N folding screen smartphone will commence appearing in various leaks and official posters next week. It has already managed to get some certifications and leak various documents. We can learn from them that the new generation of folding screen models includes two new phones, the Find N2 and Find N2 Flip. As the names imply, the former model will be a horizontally folding smartphone, while the latter will be a clamshell handset.
OPPO Find N2 specs
Today, a Weibo leakster revealed the key features of the new phone. For instance, he said that the OPPO Find N2 would sport a low-frequency version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Also, there will be a rear 50MP IMX890 primary camera with support for OIS. The other lenses are the 48MP IMX581 and 32MP IMX709. The camera will support 2x optical zoom. On the front, we will also find a 32MP lens.
Before this, the phone we introduced above appeared on GeekBench. The model number was PGU110. It uses the same low-frequency version of the Honor 80 Pro’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. Its single-core points are 1262, while in the multi-core test, it reached 3902 points. Thus, the handset should provide both good performance and low power consumption.
In addition, the internal screen of this new folding screen machine uses a 7.1-inch 1920*1792 resolution Samsung E6 large screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The external screen should be 5.54 inches. This small screen is also made of Samsung E6 and has a 2120*1080 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
In other aspects, the machine will use a 4520mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging; there will be a Mariana X ISP chip and a Hasselblad imaging system; the plain leather model will weigh about 233g, while the glass model will weigh 237g; it will run the ColorOS 13 system based on Android 13.
OPPO Find N2 Flip specs
The OPPO Find N2 Flip will have a relatively lower starting price due to the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chip, a rear 50MP IMX890 + 8MP IMX355 dual camera, and a front 32MP IMX709 sensor. Of course, it will get all goodies from the Mariana X chip and Hasselblad imaging system.
As for the display, this small folding screen phone uses a 6.8-inch Samsung E6 internal screen with a resolution of 2520*1080 and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Plus, there will be a small 3.26-inch screen on the outside.
The 4300mAh battery will support 44W fast charging. The overall weight will be about 191g.
Before this, another Weibo tipster said that the OPPO Find N2, code-named “White Swan,” would have three colors of black, white, and green, while the Find N2 Flip phone, code-named “Dragonfly,” would have black, white, and green colors.
