Xiaomi has previously released a few desktop drinking machines. Today, the company announced a new model, the smart version of the Mijia desktop drinking machine, priced at 1999 yuan ($279). This product is already available for booking and will start shipping on December 10.

The smart version of the Mijia desktop drinking machine has a 6.2L large-capacity water tank. The 4.4L raw water tank is completely separated from the 1.8L waste water tank. Thus, there is no risk of wastewater backflow.
The machine comes with a built-in RO reverse osmosis filter element and PPC composite filter element. At the same time, the double-core 6-stage deep filter can filter out bacteria, viruses, heavy metals, pesticide residues, etc. The independent pure water tank provides an UV lamp sterilization. The sterilization rate of E. coli reaches 99.9%.
The price of the RO reverse osmosis filter element is 249 yuan a year ($35), and the price of the PPC composite filter element is 109 yuan a year ($15).
In addition to filtering the water source, the Mijia Desktop Water Purifier Smart Edition also comes with stainless steel thick film heating technology, 2100W high-power heating, and can complete the heating of purified water in 3 seconds.
Apart from the normal temperature, there are also milk, coffee, and boiling water modes. Users can also adjust the water purifier by 1°C in the temperature range of 40°C-95°C through the Mijia app.
It is worth mentioning that, unlike other versions, the Mijia Desktop Clean Drinking Smart Edition comes standard with a Mijia customized smart thermos cup. To customize your drinking water solution, you can bind your identity through the Mijia App. Lastly, the machine has an OLED screen to display various states of the product.
