OnePlus has been a brand making only premium smartphones. But it revised its strategy a few years ago. And now, it designs and launches not only top-end products but also mid-range and low-end models. This statement is also true for non-smartphone products. We mean, under its OnePlus and Nord brands, the company has managed to release smart TVs, earphones, etc. Today, the manufacturer also announced the OnePlus Nord Watch, which comes with a larger screen, sports, and health tracking features, and up to 30 days of battery life.
OnePlus smartwatch specs and price
The OnePlus Nord Watch uses a 1.78-inch AMOLED rectangular screen with a resolution of 368×448 and a refresh rate of 60Hz. The watch has no built-in GPS. Thus, it can receive location information only from a smartphone via Bluetooth 5.2.
In addition, the OnePlus Nord Watch can help women track their menstrual cycle. Apart from this, it has more traditional health tracking features, such as heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen saturation detection, and sleep monitoring.
The watch sports an accelerometer sensor that automatically detects exercise activities and supports 105 exercise modes. The watch is also IP68 rated for full protection against dust and water.
The body of the OnePlus Nord Watch is made of zinc alloy and plastic, while the strap is made of silicone. The hypoallergenic material used in this watch will help avoid skin irritation. The battery capacity of the watch is 230mAh. So in the low-power mode, it will last for one month. But when used more heavily, it will last about 10 days.
The OnePlus Nord Watch is now available in India. The starting price of midnight black is 4999 Indian rupees (about $61), while the dark blue version is also on the way. We still have no information on when it is available for purchase.
