POCO phones are considered cost-effective. Most of them do not boast eye-catching specs, but they do cost less than many products in the price range. Well, it turns out the company will launch several smartphones next month. We already talked about the POCO C50. Another model is scheduled to hit the Indian stores on September 5. The manufacturer not only issued a statement concerning the launch date but also showed the appearance of the POCO M5.

From the teaser video, we can see that it will come with a gigantic camera module on the back. However, this will not be the only selling point of the POCO M5.
POCO M5 specs
The back of the phone will use a dual-tone finish. The yellow variant seems to use leather. The camera module is black, which looks very stylish on the yellow back cover. By the way, there are three sensors and an LED flash. Unfortunately, there is no info concerning the sensors’ parameters.
The front of the phone has a water-drop notch screen. The bezels are too narrow. But this doesn’t refer to the chin, which is still very thick.
As for the rumored specs, the POCO M5 4G will feature a 6.58-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The assumed Helio G99 SoC would be accompanied by up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage. Plus, there will also be a 5000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.
We are dealing with a 4G phone that runs Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box. If the leak is accurate, in India, it will start at around Rs 13,000 ($163). Of course, it will go on sale through Flipkart. The price and the selling points will be announced at the event on September 5.
