Everyone likes drinking coffee. But not all of them have good coffee machines. Such products are not expensive. But it’s really hard to find the right one. So today, we will talk about the advantages and disadvantages of the Hibrew H2B, hoping this article will help you.
When looking for a coffee machine, usually, recommendations are limited to three brands – Keurig, Nespresso, and Nescafe Dolce Gusto. And though each of these brands offers various types of coffee, the capsules aren’t compatible with the machines of other brands. So we are suggesting acquiring such a machine that will allow you to use standard-size and -shape capsules. As you guess, our protagonist is from that category.
The HiBrew H2B is a 5-in-1 coffee machine. Thus, as the name implies, it can make more than one type of coffee.
The compact design is the first thing that made us like the HiBrew H2B coffee machine. At the top of the machine, we can find the power button and two options for making hot or cold coffee. These buttons are all you need to operate the coffee maker. The control panel is similar to most entry-level Nespresso machines. Also, you can choose a large or small cup or customize the size, depending on the capsule you’re using.
On the front, we can see a very stylish handle made of stainless steel. Lift it to insert or remove the coffee pod adapter of your choice. Once done, press it back down to make the coffee. Agree that there is nothing odd with such an operation, and it works in the same ways as most Nespresso, Keurig, or Dolce Gusto coffee machines. It punctures the pod cover with a needle and injects water into the capsule to extract coffee.
Compatible with many capsules.
Also, we can find a 7-level water volume selection panel. Depending on the different capsules, the coffee size might vary. So with the help of this panel, you can make adjustments. For instance, to make an espresso, you have to select a low bar. But if you want to make a cappuccino or a classic coffee, you must select a high bar. There are seven options, and the highest one corresponds to a 350ml coffee.
The machine has a large detachable water tank with a 600ml capacity at the back.
Five coffee capsule adapters
Inside the HiBrew H2B coffee machine’s box, we can find not only the instruction manual, a pump for cleaning the pipe beneath the water tank, and a coffee spoon that doubles as a tamper, but also five coffee capsules adapters. They are the NES, DG, ground coffee, ESE pod, and Kcup adapters.
Make any coffee you want.
Each adapter is compatible with either Keurig, Nespresso, or Dolce Gusto capsules. Meanwhile, you can also use ground coffee or ESE coffee capsules for brewing espresso. Let’s examine them in more detail.
Kcup coffee pods
Keurig is the US’s most popular coffee maker. It uses Kcup pods for brewing drip coffee-style beverages. A Keurig machine lets you brew 120- 350ml of coffee, depending on the capsule you’re using and the particular device you have.
There is a considerable choice of K-Cups, with over 75 brands, including Starbucks, Green Mountain, Peet’s, McCafe, Dunkin’, and Folgers.
So using the Kcup adapter, you can make a cup of coffee within 40 seconds. More importantly, while most Keurig machines have limited cup size options, the HiBrew H2B has a wider choice of cups.
With the HiBrew H2B, you can make a great espresso with rich crema and premium aromas. And for this, you don’t have to be a professional barista. The machine will do everything instead of you.
By the way, there are two kinds of Nespresso pods – OriginalLine and VertuoLine. Unfortunately, you can use only the OriginalLine pods in this machine. Like other Nespresso machines, our protagonist uses 19 bars of pressure to brew the shot.
Dolce Gusto capsules
Dolce Gusto is a brand produced by Nescafe. Nescafe is owned by Nestle, which also owns Nespresso. However, despite being part of the same group, it offers more specialty drinks than Nespresso. Its primary markets are Europe and Asia rather than North America. The Dolce Gusto capsules are larger than Nespresso and offer milk-based espresso drinks, including latte macchiato, cappuccino, and flat white, using a coffee capsule and a milk pod. The results are impressive, with beautiful-looking, delicious beverages.
This is a single-serve pod machine. But it is capable of making ideal espresso. As said above, there is a corresponding adapter with a pressurized filter basket. So you can pull an espresso shot with ground coffee using a finer grind. Due to the hole at the bottom of the basket, it will produce rich crema.
Making espresso works in the same way as the one above.
Even cold coffee
Agree that having a coffee machine that can brew using so many coffee capsules is incredible. But what is more important, this machine can even make iced coffee. Next to the power button, we can see the corresponding button. Press it, and the machine will switch to the cold coffee mode in 2s.
We understand that coffee machines dedicated to only one type of coffee are assumed to make better and tastier coffee. But this is not the case. The HiBrew H2B coffee capsule machine does a good job. The reason is that it’s designed in a way that uses the same brewing pressure, water temperature, and brewing method as products with a single function. For instance, when making Nespresso, it will work with a 19-bar pressure, but when “ordering” Dolce Gusto, it will use only 15 bars of pressure.
