Today, Xiaomi officially made the new generation of Redmi G gaming notebooks available for pre-sale, with prices ranging from the lowest 6299 yuan to 7299 yuan ($931 – $1079).
The new generation of Redmi G gaming notebooks is equipped with Intel 12th generation i7-12650H processor. The latter uses a 10-core 16-thread core architecture, of which the maximum turbo frequency is 4.7GHz. in terms of graphics, this laptop comes with an RTX 3050Ti graphics card, which supports the release of 95W full power consumption, and has a direct connection function to the graphics card.
Of course, the biggest upgrade of the new generation of Redmi G is the screen. It sports a 16-inch 2.5K 165Hz high refresh screen with 500nits brightness and 1.07 billion colors. It supports G-SYNC tear resistance, and the color accuracy reaches Delta E< 1.5 professional monitor level. The display is also VESA HDR 400 certified.
The company also solved the pain point of the previous model, that is, the big chin. In effect, the screen ratio changed from 16:9 to 16:10. The new Redmi G looks more concise and capable, with a narrower frame and a large screen strap. The visual perception is also better.
Last year’s Redmi G 2021 Ryzen Edition was equipped with a Ryzen 7 5800H processor and an RTX 3060 graphics card, with a performance release of 45W + 115W, and storage of 16GB + 512GB, and a battery capacity of 80Wh.
The Redmi G 2021 uses a 16.1-inch 144Hz gaming screen, which has passed the German Rheinland low blue light certification. In addition, the Redmi G 2021 came with a new “Hurricane Cooling 3.0” heat dissipation system with dual 12V large fans, five all-copper heat pipes, and four air outlets.
