In a few days, on the 4th of July, Xiaomi will hold a new product launch conference and unleash a number of new products, including three Xiaomi Mi 12S smartphones, the Xiaomi Notebook Pro 2022, the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Pro, etc. Among them, the new notebook is going to be a true beast. Earlier, we heard that this laptop will sport a top-end display. Today, the company officially announced the key parameters of the screen and we understood that what we’d heard is true.
Xiaomi Notebook Pro 2022 Display Parameters
The Xiaomi Notebook Pro 2022 will use an OLED screen with a 4K resolution. Compared with the FHD picture quality, the screen of this model has 4 times astonishing details. Our protagonist will also support Dolby Vision*. By the way, there is no 4K display notebook under the Xiaomi brand to date. For instance, the enhanced version of Xiaomi Laptop Pro released last year sports a 3.5K OLED screen with a resolution of 3456 x 2160, 261PPI, a peak brightness of 600 nits, and a super 7.64 million pixels. Thus, it’s 3.6 times the normal FHD screen.
Note*: Dolby Vision is an image quality technology launched by Dolby Laboratories (US), which improves the image effect by increasing the brightness and expanding the dynamic range. It enhances the fidelity of the video signal so that the image is very realistic in terms of brightness, color, and contrast.
Apart from the outstanding screen, the upcoming Xiaomi Notebook Pro 2022 will use the new CNC integrated carving process. Thanks to the technological breakthrough, the thickness of the body is 14.9mm.
As for the price and other hardware configurations, there is no news at the moment. But in terms of comparison with the 2021 models, the latter was available in 14-inch and 15-inch sizes, powered by Intel’s 11th-generation Core standard pressure processor or AMD’s Ryzen 5000H series processor. So we think the Notebook Pro 2022 will come with Intel’s latest 12th-generation Core processor.
