A month ago, we learned that Tencent would not buy Black Shark, at least, at the moment. This also means that the company has to continue designing new gaming products. And it is doing. Today, we learned that a new flagship gaming smartphone is under development.
New Gaming Smartphone From Black Shark
As a Weibo whistleblower said, Black Shark is working on a new mobile phone. The new phone will sport a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED ultra-high refresh rate screen with a single hole on it. On the opposite side, there will be a 64MP/108MP matrix triple camera. Under the hood, we will find a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, which has no equals on the market. Well, apart from the aforementioned features, the phone will adopt a new SSD technology. Thus, it will have an outstanding write and read speed, which is essential for gaming products. Also, there will be a 4790mAh battery supporting a 120W fast charging. The rest of the new Black Shark gaming phone features include a pressure-sensitive screen, an X-axis motor, and symmetrical dual speakers.
There is a possibility that the phone will not see light in the coming months and will wait for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, which will hit the market in a few months.
The Black Shark 5 Series
As a reminder, in March this year, the Black Shark 5, Black Shark 5 Pro, and Black Shark 5 RS were released. Among them, the Black Shark 5 Pro comes with the Disk Array System 2.0. It added an SSD solid state drive and a UFS3. 1 flash disk for joint debugging. In effect, the order and random read and write capabilities are optimized through the RAID disk system architecture. The read performance of the disk array system 2.0 is improved by 124.5%, and the write performance is improved by 83%.
