Today, Huawei officially unveiled the last two versions of the Pura 70 series, the Pura 70 and Pura 70 Pro+, with a starting price of 5499 yuan (about $760).
Design and Display
With a focus on leading-edge design, the Huawei Pura 70 series introduces the Pro+ version, featuring a distinctive light-woven grid design on the back, available in three fashionable colors: light-woven silver, string music white, and shadow black. Compact in size, measuring only 8.4mm, and weighing around 220 grams, it also boasts IP68 dust and water resistance.
It sports a 6.8-inch OLED display. This display boasts a resolution of 2844 × 1260. It supports a 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate. Additionally, it offers 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and a 300Hz touch sampling rate. Moreover, it reaches a peak brightness of up to 2500 nits.
Cameras
In photography, the Huawei Pura 70 Pro series introduces a new gen of super-bright primary camera with a variable aperture from F1.4 to F4.0, coupled with a 1/1.3-inch large bottom sensor and a super-bright macro telephoto lens with an F2.1 aperture. Its XD Motion engine seamlessly integrates with the super-bright imaging system, capturing vivid and clear images even in fast-paced or low-light environments, supporting ultra-high-definition imaging across the entire focal range, with a maximum zoom range of up to 200 times. Additionally, the series integrates the XD Fusion Pro high-quality engine and Super AIS stabilization technology, ensuring stable and high-quality video recording.
In comparison to the Pro version, the Huawei Pura 70 Pro+ upgrades its screen material to the more durable and shock-resistant Xuanwu tempered Kunlun glass, significantly enhancing its drop resistance. Another highlight is its support for dual satellite communication technology, including Beidou satellite messaging for sending and receiving text and picture messages, as well as compatibility with Tian Tong satellite communication for making calls and sending/receiving SMS.
Battery and Other Features
In terms of battery life and fast charging, the Huawei Pura 70 Pro+ is equipped with a 5050mAh battery, offering 100W wired super-fast charging and 80W wireless super-fast charging, capable of charging half the battery in just 15 minutes, while also supporting 20W wireless reverse charging.
Pura 70
The Huawei Pura 70 adopts a straight screen and straight-edge design, featuring a 6.6-inch flat screen covered with second-generation Kunlun glass, with a straight-edged frame design. Camera configuration includes a 50-megapixel super-bright main camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 12-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. It is equipped with a 4900mAh battery and supports 66W wired fast charging 50W wireless fast charging, and 7.5W wireless reverse charging.
Pricing
In terms of pricing, the standard version of the Huawei Pura 70 offers three storage options: 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, and 12GB+1TB, priced at 5499 yuan (about $760), 5999 yuan (about $829), and 6999 yuan (about $967) respectively, while the Pura 70 Pro+ offers two luxurious configurations: 16GB+512GB and 16GB+1TB, priced at 7999 yuan (about $1105) and 8999 yuan (about $1243) respectively. It’s worth noting that the standard version of the Huawei Pura 70 does not come with satellite communication functionality.
