Yesterday, Hesai Technology “claimed” Xiaomi’s SU7 laser radar. Today, Unity officials announced that Xiaomi SU7 is using Unity Render as a Service.
This integration, according to officials, not only tightens the connection between the car owner and the intelligent cockpit through Xiao Ai but also brings a significant increase in computational data for the intelligent cockpit. Hence, it’s crucial to ensure that the car’s system can swiftly process multi-thread instructions and display them on the screen in real-time.
URAS service significantly reduces CPU and RAM usage while boosting performance. Throughout the entire process of invoking cockpit capabilities, only one Unity Player occupies hardware resources, yet it can maintain multiple background service processes, each independent of the others. Meanwhile, it still achieves a high degree of integration between UI and 3D content, ensuring smooth interactive performance.
Unity states that Xiaomi chose its own engine for intelligent cockpit development because Xiaomi SU7’s ambition extends beyond just automobiles to encompass the broader realm of interconnected devices. Ultimately, the smart cockpit of Xiaomi SU7 not only presents itself in full 3D but also achieves a seamless panoramic display effect.
