The Xiaomi Outdoor Camera CW500 Dual Camera Edition previously crowdfunded on Xiaomi Youpin is now available on e-commerce platforms such as JD.com, with a pre-sale price of 349 yuan (about $49) and sales starting on April 2 at 10 a.m.
According to the official introduction, this new product features a combination of fixed and movable pan-tilt dual lenses. The fixed lens maintains a fixed perspective. However, the movable pan-tilt allows flexible control in the Mi Home App to monitor various angles. The dual lenses can cover two different directions, meeting the surveillance needs of yards, staircases, shops, and other scenes.
Equipped with dual 4 million pixel cameras and paired with an f/1.6 large aperture lens, the product supports 2.5K ultra-clear image quality. Each camera is equipped with two white lights and two infrared night vision lights. At night, if a human form is detected, the fill light automatically turns on to present a color image. Designed specifically for outdoor use, it adopts an IP66 dustproof and waterproof rating.
In terms of intelligence, when a human form or vehicle appears within the monitoring range, the Mi Home App will promptly push an alarm message and record a video. If someone intrudes into the monitoring area, it immediately emits an alarm sound and flashes at high frequency, while the Mi Home App pushes alarm messages and videos. It is equipped with a 2.4GHz+5GHz dual-frequency Wi-Fi 6 smart chip and a built-in Mi Home security chip.
Moreover, the Xiaomi Outdoor Camera CW500 Dual Camera Edition features a highly sensitive microphone and a high-power speaker. Paired with an AI intelligent noise reduction algorithm, these extend the pickup distance. It supports remote viewing from smartphones, Xiaomi tablets, Xiaoai touchscreen speakers, and Xiaomi TVs.
