Vivo’s Vice President and General Manager of Brand and Product Strategy, Jia Jingdong, released a detailed preview of the “lightweight heavyweight champion of foldable phones,” the Vivo X Fold3 series, this afternoon.

Battery
Jia Jingdong emphasized the battery performance of the new device. He stated that the battery life of the X Fold3 series is “remarkably strong,” with battery capacity parameters “unusually strong.” The new device will achieve a “two-day charge” battery life and perform well in low-temperature endurance.
According to reports, staff members carried Vivo X Fold3 series phones to the Antarctic before the New Year and witnessed the opening of China’s Antarctic Qinling Station. In temperatures averaging over negative thirty degrees Celsius in Antarctica, the “X Fold3 series with its large blue ocean battery passed the Antarctic cold test and can still function ‘calmly.'”
Furthermore, the company claims that the device is thinner than the Vivo X5 Max, which notably holds the title of the thinnest smartphone in history with a thickness of 4.75mm, released in 2014. Additionally, the standard model weighs less than a large apple.
According to blogger @数码闲聊站 leaks, the new device will come in black and white, with the white fiberglass variant being “very attractive.” The top configuration will feature 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, with a tentative release date set for March 27th.
