Firstly, let’s delve into performance. The Snapdragon 8s Gen3 inherits the same CPU architecture as its predecessor, built on TSMC’s 4nm process. It features 1 super core clocked at up to 3.0GHz, 4 performance cores clocked at up to 2.8GHz, and 3 efficiency cores clocked at up to 2.0GHz.
Qualcomm says, In GeekBench 6 multi-threaded benchmarking, compared to similar-positioned competitors, the third-generation Snapdragon 8s outperforms by 20% in CPU performance. Additionally, in terms of energy efficiency, based on tests of 8 popular mobile games, the third-generation Snapdragon 8s also boasts a 15% higher gaming efficiency than competitors.

Moving on to imaging, it features three 18-bit cognitive ISPs similar to the Snapdragon 8s Gen3 platform. Coupled with Hexagon NPU for heterogeneous computing, it enables a series of intelligent imaging functions. Real-time semantic segmentation for both photos and videos offers more precise object and scene recognition and segmentation.
Moreover, in terms of connectivity, it adopts the X70 5G modem and FastConnect 7800 mobile connectivity platform, supporting advanced features like WiFi 7 and 5G R17, achieving up to 10Gbps 5G transmission speeds. Gaming-wise, it supports Snapdragon Elite Gaming with hardware-accelerated real-time ray-tracing capabilities. Qualcomm officials announced that major OEMs and brands including Honor, iQOO, realme, Redmi, and Xiaomi will adopt the third-generation Snapdragon 8s, with commercial terminals expected to hit the market in the coming months. Xiaomi specifically revealed that its upcoming Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro will debut globally with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.
