POCO, a brand under Xiaomi, previously had only two models in the POCO X6 series – POCO X6 and POCO X6 Pro. Today marks the addition of another member to the series with the release of the POCO X6 Neo. The X6 Neo was initially launched in India and is poised to enter the global market.
Design and Display
Continuing the recent design language of POCO smartphones, the X6 Neo features a large rectangular design for the rear camera module and maintains flat borders, giving it a sleek and stylish appearance. With a thickness of only 7.7mm and a weight of 175g, the device is exceptionally slim and lightweight. Color options for X6 Neo include Starry Black, Horizon Blue, and Martian Orange.
Notably, the X6 Neo is essentially the same as the Redmi Note 13R Pro 5G, which is exclusively available in China. Both phones share identical configurations. X6 Neo boasts a 6.7-inch AMOLED FHD+ display on the front with a pixel density of 394 PPI. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 1920Hz PWM dimming, 2160Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 1000 nits, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Features
In terms of the camera, POCO X6 Neo’s rear camera module includes a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6 main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera is a 16MP shooter located at the center of the screen’s top.
The MediaTek Dimensity 6080 processor powers the POCO X6 Neo, ensuring optimal performance with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Out of the box, MIUI 14, based on Android 13, runs on the device. POCO guarantees 2 major Android updates and provides 4 years of security updates. Lastly, the X6 Neo comes with a 5000mAh battery supporting 33W fast charging.
Pricing
Currently, POCO X6 Neo is only available in India, offering two configurations: 8GB+128GB priced at INR 15,999 (about $192) and 12GB+256GB priced at INR 17,999 (about $217).
