In their blog post, GSMChina uncovered relevant records of the Xiaomi 14T Pro in the IMEI database. These records reveal two model numbers: “2407FPN8EG” for the global version and “2407FPN8ER” specific to the Japanese market. This suggests that the company plans to launch the new smartphone in various regions, including Japan.

Simultaneously, the Redmi K70 Ultra mobile phone intended for the Chinese market carries the model number “2407FRK8EC.” While Chinese and international versions may exhibit some differences, the expectation is to maintain overall consistency.

During their internal development stage, Xiaomi assigned the code name “rotko” to both the 14T Pro and K70 Ultra. This naming tradition aligns with the Redmi K series, which draws inspiration from painters. In this instance, the term “rotko” originates from the American painter Mark Rothko, who played a significant role in color field painting and late painterly abstraction.

Furthermore, MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 chip will power both the Xiaomi 14T Pro and the Redmi K70 Ultra. In addition to providing robust chip performance, we anticipate significant enhancements in cameras and other hardware. The Redmi K70 Ultra is scheduled for unveiling in August this year, with the global launch of the Xiaomi 14T Pro to follow.
