The Nothing Phone (2a) has launched, offering most features of the Nothing Phone (2) at a lower price. Let’s discuss the design before delving into the specs. Phone (2a) adheres to Nothing’s unique design concept with a 3-Glyph light bar design that comes in black and white.
The dual camera system, nestled within the NFC coil, catches the eyes. The back panel, curving around the edge at a 90-degree angle, enhances drop resistance. The phone offers color options of black, white, or “milk.” Moving on to its features, the Nothing Phone (2a) introduces the Glyph interface, featuring 26 individually addressable areas. Additionally, three lights support functions such as the Glyph Timer, Notification, Glyph Torch, and Glyph Progress.
The Dimensity 7200 Pro chip powers the Nothing Phone (2a). The processor operates at a clock speed of 2.8GHz and is manufactured using TSMC’s cutting-edge 4nm process. It has a 6.78-inch 10-bit AMOLED screen, the device boasts features such as a resolution of 1084x2412px, a peak brightness of 1300 nits, and a variable refresh rate ranging from 30 to 120Hz. On the software front, the Nothing Phone (2a) runs on Nothing OS 2.5, a customized version built over Android 14. This ensures users of the device will receive 3 years of Android updates and a further 4 years of security updates.
The new phone features three lenses: a dual 50-megapixel system at the back and the same 32-megapixel f/2.2 selfie camera (1/2.74-inch) as the Nothing Phone. Transitioning to the main camera, it comprises a 50-megapixel f/1.88 (1/1.56-inch sensor) wide-angle camera with OIS and a 50-megapixel f/2.2 (1/2.76-inch sensor) fixed-focus wide-angle camera.
Nothing Phone (2a) houses a 5000mAh battery with a charging power of up to 45W. Within just 23 minutes, the battery achieves a 50% charge, and in a total of 59 minutes, it attains a full charge. Nothing claims the battery retains 90% of its charge after 1,000 cycles or more than three years of daily use.

Pre-orders for the Nothing Phone (2a) are open today on nothing. Expected to ship March 12th. Globally, two variants are available – the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage at €329, £319, or INR 23,999. The high-end version, equipped with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, is priced at €379/£349/INR 27,999. Additionally, an 8/256GB model exclusive to India is available at Rs 25,999.
