On March 5, Apple released visionOS 1.1 RC, inviting users to test various new features. Just a week has passed since the last beta release.
If developers wish to explore this new version, they can activate the “Developer Beta” function via the “Settings” application on their Vision Pro device and download the visionOS beta. However, throughout this process, developers must possess a valid registered developer account. Simultaneously, Apple emphasizes the importance of backing up data before installing any new software.
VisionOS 1.1 introduces various enhancements. Notably, the iMessage contact key verification function stands out, enhancing communication security. Additionally, the update includes support for Apple device management, enabling seamless management of Vision Pro headsets for IT departments in enterprises and educational institutions, akin to iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
Considering the user experience, Apple has optimized visionOS 1.1 significantly. As per Apple’s beta documentation, users now can reposition volumetric scenes closer, facilitating more direct and convenient interaction with volumetric scene content. This, in turn, enables users to place virtual objects closer for a more immersive experience.
Moreover, Apple has refined Persona in visionOS 1.1 RC, enhancing its natural and realistic visual effects. Undoubtedly, these improvements will deliver a more realistic and engaging virtual experience for users.
