OPPO Watch X Launched in Malaysia: 1299 Malaysian Ringgit

Yesterday, OPPO Malaysia unveiled the OPPO Watch X smartwatch. The WearOS operating system powers the watch, and it costs 1299 Malaysian Ringgit (about $272), positioning it as a sibling model to the previously launched OnePlus Watch 2.

OPPO Watch X

The OPPO Watch X features a stainless steel bezel and a fluoro rubber strap, available in two colors: Platinum Black and Mars Brown. Sapphire glass, which claims to possess four times the impact resistance of the OPPO Watch 4 Pro, makes up the screen.

Powered by the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 and Hengxuan BES2700BP dual cores, the watch operates on both WearOS and RtOS operating systems, achieving a 100-hour battery life in smart mode. For heavy usage, the battery lasts approximately 48 hours.

OPPO Watch X

The Watch X had an initial launch price of 1299 Malaysian Ringgit (about $272) and comes with an option to add an official strap for an additional 1 Malaysian Ringgit. It was previously reported that the watch would be released in the Chinese market this month.

The OPPO Watch X Chinese version obtained 3C certification and network access permission last year, confirming its support for 10W charging and eSIM-independent communication.

The specifications of the OPPO Watch X include a 1.43-inch 466 x 466 AMOLED screen with a brightness of 1000 nits, the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 and Hengxuan BES2700BP dual cores, 2GB RAM + 32GB storage (with an additional 4GB eMMC for RtOS), a 500mAh battery with 10W charging claiming a 100-hour battery life and 60 minutes to fully charge, an 8-channel heart rate sensor, a 16-channel blood oxygen sensor, dual-frequency (L1 + L5) positioning supporting Beidou, GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, and QZSS navigation systems, and eSIM independent communication.
