The Qualcomm ZH-WXX ARM chip has surfaced on the Geekbench platform, expected to be the Snapdragon X Elite.
Geekbench 6.2.2 recorded a single-core score of 2574 and a multi-core score of 12562 for this chip. The test device is equipped with a 12-core CPU running at 4.01 GHz and 32GB of memory. It operates on the Microsoft Windows 11 system.
In October 2023, Qualcomm unveiled its inaugural PC product, the new Snapdragon X platform, during the Qualcomm Summit. Its flagship, named “Snapdragon X Elite,” incorporates a custom Oryon CPU, built on a 4nm process, with 12 cores at 3.8GHz, supporting dual-core turbo frequency up to 4.3GHz, a memory bandwidth of 136GB/s, and a total cache of 42MB.
According to Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon, it outperforms Apple’s 12-core M2 Max and Intel’s 14-core Core i7-1355U in single-threaded performance. Reportedly, Qualcomm claims that the Snapdragon X Elite surpasses Apple’s M2 Max in single-threaded performance, achieving peak performance at 30% lower power consumption. In terms of multi-core performance, Qualcomm asserts that it is 50% faster than Apple’s M2 processor.
Qualcomm anticipates that laptops equipped with the Snapdragon X Elite chip will hit the market in mid-2024, with initial manufacturers including Microsoft, Lenovo, Dell, and HP.
