Xiaomi officially released the Redmi Book Pro 2024 series on the evening of February 22. The series includes Redmi Book Pro 16 2024 and Redmi Book Pro 14 2024, with prices starting at 4,999 yuan.
Display and Hardware
The RedmiBook Pro 16 comes with a “3.1K high-refresh high-brightness screen.” This screen comes with a 3.1K resolution and 165Hz high refresh rate. Additionally, it has a 100% P3 wide color gamut, and 500 nits brightness.
Additionally, it has obtained Dolby Vision certification and incorporates multi-screen color-matching technology based on CIE 2015 calibration. With DC dimming and hardware-level low blue light screen, it has received TÜV Rheinland certification.
The Redmi Book Pro 14 2024 and RedmiBook Pro 16 2024 offer a choice between the Core Ultra 5 125H or Core Ultra 7 155H processors, both featuring Meteor Lake processors with integrated Arc iGPU. Users can configure these laptops with up to 1 TB of SSD and 32 GB of RAM, along with various ports, regardless of the selected version.
Battery
Both notebooks include a 1080p webcam and a pair of 2W speakers. Nevertheless, distinctions exist between the Redmi Book Pro 14 2024 and Redmi Book Pro 16 2024 in display, battery size, and charging capacity. Xiaomi’s product page indicates that the Redmi Book Pro 14 features an 80 Wh battery with support for 100 W wired charging. Conversely, the Redmi Book Pro 16 can charge its 99 W and 140 W batteries, aligning it with the latest MacBook Pro 16 model.
The machine weighs 1.88kg and has a thickness of 15.9mm. Additionally, Thunderbolt 4, full-featured USB-C, dual USB-A, HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5mm headphone jack equip it.
Reports indicate that the Redmi Book Pro 2024 will adopt Xiaomi HyperOS and will support HyperOS Connect. In terms of hardware collaboration, it enables the calling of cameras and networks across terminals, as well as the sharing of keyboard and mouse. Regarding content flow, it facilitates functionality, application relay, and screen expansion.
