The new Mercedes-Maybach GLS SUV is officially on the market. It comes in two models, priced at 1.833 million yuan (about $254880) and 2.488 million yuan (about $345959), respectively.
In terms of exterior design, the new car incorporates design elements that better reflect the Maybach identity. Additionally, it introduces two new paint color options: sodium blue and distant peak gray. It also offers a dual-tone paint option in space silver and ocean blue.
Moreover, the new car features 23-inch Maybach classic forged wheels with a high-gloss finish. Dynamic Maybach emblem welcome projection lights come standard, and the vehicle will feature electrically retractable running boards.
As for the interior, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS SUV adopts various Maybach-exclusive color schemes such as “Crafted High Definition” crystal white/pearl ink gray and “Crafted High Definition” redwood brown/mochaccino. It is equipped with a dual-screen design consisting of a full LCD instrument panel and a central multimedia display. It incorporates the second-generation MBUX intelligent human-machine interaction system, coupled with a deeply integrated Gaode custom navigation.
The rear seats of the new car feature two independently adjustable executive seats. The backrest angle can reach 43.5 degrees, and the rear legroom can reach a maximum of 1.34 meters. Furthermore, we have installed two 100-watt USB charging ports in the rear.
Notably, the new car will be equipped with an exclusive Maybach driving mode. Combined with the standard intelligent magic body control system, it can reduce body vibrations, further enhancing driving comfort.
The new Maybach GLS 600 boasts a 4.0T twin-turbocharged V8 engine with a 48V mild hybrid system that propels it to a maximum power of 410 kilowatts and a maximum torque of 729 Newton-meters. It achieves a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in just 4.7 seconds.
On the other hand, the 3.0T turbocharged inline-six-cylinder engine and a 48V mild hybrid system power the Maybach GLS 480. It produces a maximum power of 270 kilowatts and a maximum torque of 500 Newton-meters. A 9-speed automatic transmission and the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system complement both models.
