Blogger @数码闲聊站 has confirmed that Huawei is developing a “tri-folding screen mobile phone.” He also stated that Huawei’s upcoming thin and light folding screen mobile phones will continue the previous generation’s design. They will be equipped with the Kirin 9000S 5G processor, a 4520mAh battery, support 66W fast charging, upgrade the lens module and secondary display, and offer purple leather and gray glass variants. The art version will still use 3D relief technology. This new foldable screen phone is the Huawei Pocket S2, which will be available in purple plain leather and gray glass.
Huawei is gearing up to launch a new clamshell folding screen mobile phone in February, following the P50 Pocket and Pocket S. The Huawei Pocket S2 5G, code-named LEM, may have a positioning similar to the Nova model. “Blind appointments” in some Huawei stores will open after the Spring Festival.
Currently, only the Pocket S, priced at 4,988 yuan (about $701), is still on sale in Huawei Mall. It features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 4G processor, a 6.9-inch internal screen, and a 1.04-inch circular external screen. With a resolution of 2790 × 1188, the internal screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, a 300Hz touch sampling rate, 1.07 billion colors, and a P3 wide color gamut. Additionally, the external screen features a resolution of 340 × 340. Huawei’s new Pocket folding screen mobile phone, equipped with a Kirin 9000S 5G chip and a 4520mAh battery, will be available in plain purple leather and gray glass.
According to revelations, Huawei Pocket S2 5G brings several improvements compared to the previous generation:
- Snapdragon 888 4G → Kirin 9000S 5G
- 40W → 66W super-fast charging
- 4000mAh → 4520mAh battery
- Larger camera module (sensor upgrade)
- Larger external screen
- Added purple plain leather back cover and gray AG frosted glass back cover
- Collaboration with BOE to customize the 2XXXPWM dimming eye protection screen.
- Four SKUs are provided: 12+256, 12+512, 16+512, 16+1T
