According to blogger @智慧皮卡丘, the Xiaomi 15 will continue to debut with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 this year and may be released around October, using a low-power + large battery solution.
Moreover, blogger @数码闲聊站 previously exposed that Xiaomi is planning to commence mass production of the 15 series in September, and testing progress is already ahead.
Note: Xiaomi announced the Xiaomi 13 phone on December 11, 2022, and released it on December 14, 2022. They announced the Xiaomi 14 phone on October 26, 2023, and released it on October 31, 2023.
Blogger @数码闲聊站 disclosed that Xiaomi Snapdragon 8 Gen 4’s new model is undergoing testing for domestically produced single-point ultrasonic fingerprint unlocking. The internal product progress has once again advanced, and the dual-size strategy remains unchanged. The “big cup” model is testing satellite communication functionality.
For reference, last year’s Xiaomi 14 standard version featured Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor + LPDDR5X + UFS 4.0, a built-in 4610mAh battery, and support for 90W Xiaomi wired fast charging / 50W Xiaomi wireless fast charging / wireless reverse charging. The phone has a 6.36-inch 1.5K OLED flexible straight screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3000nit. The Xiaomi 14 standard version also includes a 50MP Leica main camera, a 50-megapixel Leica ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 50-megapixel Leica 75mm floating telephoto lens.
