The Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2 was recently introduced in Huawei’s official Malaysian store. This device has the powerful Kirin 9000W flagship chip and runs on the latest Harmony OS4. Customers can expect delivery by January 30, indicating that Huawei is expanding Harmony’s reach internationally.

Display

The tablet features a flexible OLED notch display with a 2880*1920 resolution, and it reaches a peak brightness of 1000 nits for HDR content. It also has a 1.07 billion color display and supports the P3 wide color gamut. Added features include a magnetically controlled nano-optical coating and a multi-screen color consistency function. In terms of eye safety, it has received the German Rheinland Eye Protection 3.0 certification. Additionally, it supports full-link HDR Vivid, 144Hz refresh rate, and color accuracy ΔE<1.

Hardware

On Huawei’s official website, details reveal that the MatePad Pro 13.2 features a Kirin 9000W eight-core processor and comes in two storage options: 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB. Presently, only the WI-FI model is up for pre-order, leaving the 5G compatibility of the Kirin 9000W chip uncertain. The device is available in green, gold, and black colors.

The tablet comes equipped with a front 16-megapixel camera and a dToF sensor, likely explaining the notch on the screen. Furthermore, this setup enables video recording up to 1080P30FPS. On the back, the tablet boasts a dual-camera setup, featuring a 13-megapixel main camera and an 8 Megapixel wide-angle camera, capable of recording up to 4K30FPS. Additionally, the device has a 10050 mAh battery and supports 88W wired fast charging, achieving a full charge in just about 65 minutes. Despite its impressive long battery life, the tablet maintains a slim profile at 5.5 mm thickness and weighs 580 grams, potentially making it the thinnest 13.2-inch tablet on the market.

The Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2 also includes a multi-driver speaker array and stereo sound field. It supports the third-generation Huawei StarLight stylus and a full-size detachable keyboard, providing various input options and enhancing the user experience. With the latest Harmony OS4 operating system, the tablet enables seamless multi-device interaction, expansion mode, and collaboration mode, substantially boosting its productivity and efficiency.

Pricing

Two versions are available for purchase. The 12GB+256GB version costs 4,599 Malaysian Ringgit (about $972) and includes gifts valued at 3,145 Malaysian Ringgit, such as FreeBuds Pro2, a Sound Joy speaker, a wireless mouse, the third-generation Huawei Stylus, and a Huawei Smart Magnetic Keyboard. The 12GB+512GB version costs 4,999 Malaysian Ringgit (about $1056) and comes with FreeBuds Pro2, a Sound Joy speaker, a wireless mouse, and the third-generation Huawei stylus.
