The iOS 15.8.1 update is relatively minor. Users who have already updated to iOS 15.8 can anticipate a swift upgrade process, typically taking around 10 minutes. Tests conducted on an iPhone 7 running iOS 15.8 indicate that the entire installation process lasts about 8 minutes.
Throughout the installation, your iPhone may restart several times, which is normal. Once the installation is complete, the device should start up as usual.
Following the installation, you’ll likely need to invest some time in logging into your iCloud account and various apps and services on your device.
