The recently launched Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has just undergone a mobile phone battery life test by the XEETCHARGE channel. The test included the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Pixel 8 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the previous generation king, S23 Ultra. Results indicated that the S24 Ultra emerged victorious in the battery life test, outperforming the iPhone 15 Pro Max, Pixel 8 Pro, and its predecessor, S23 Ultra.
They examined various applications like YouTube and Facebook, and demanding games like Asphalt 8 and 3DMark benchmarks during the test. All three phones had 5000mAh batteries. The S24 Ultra showed significantly longer battery life, lasting an impressive 11 hours. The S23 Ultra, in contrast, lasted only 8 hours and 10 minutes. The powerful chip and software optimization in the S24 Ultra explains this substantial improvement. It showcases Samsung’s commitment to enhancing mobile phone efficiency.
Transitioning to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, despite its slightly smaller 4422mAh battery capacity, it achieved a commendable battery life of 10 hours and 20 minutes, trailing the S24 Ultra by only 5%. This underscores the iPhone’s strong performance in terms of battery efficiency.
It’s noteworthy that the Pixel 8 Pro ranked at the bottom of the test. However, its battery life still reached 10 hours, comparable to the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Importantly, all three flagship phones demonstrated significantly improved battery life compared to their predecessors. In everyday use, users may find it challenging to detect differences in actual battery life.
While the test didn’t explore crucial factors like battery health, screen resolution, or refresh rate, it confirmed that all three flagship phones offer satisfactory battery life. Users with higher requirements for battery life can confidently choose any of these mobile phones without concerns about battery performance.
