NVIDIA has officially launched three new graphics cards under the RTX 40 Super series, namely RTX 4070 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 4080 SUPER.
RTX 4070 SUPER
Scheduled for release on January 17th, the NVIDIA RTX 4070 SUPER will enter the market, featuring prices in China is 4899 yuan (about $692). Significantly, the core chip remains the AD104, The RTX 4070’s AD104-250 to the AD104-350. Consequently, the CUDA core count sees a substantial increase, jumping from 5888 to 7168, marking a 21.7% enhancement.
This card boasts a core base frequency of 1980MHz and an acceleration frequency of 2475MHz, indicating improved performance. Additionally, in terms of memory, it adopts a 192-bit 12GB GDDR6X, featuring an equivalent frequency of 21GHz and a bandwidth of 504GB/s. Its power consumption is marked at a modest 220W. NVIDIA claims that this model surpasses the RTX 3090’s performance while consuming only a fraction of its power. Moreover, with DLSS3 activated, it can lead by 1.5 times, showcasing its remarkable efficiency and power.
4070 Ti SUPER
Moving on to the NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, scheduled for release on January 24th, with a Chinese price of 6,499 yuan (about $918). The core designation shifts from RTX 4070 Ti AD104-400 to AD103-275, and the CUDA core count increases from 7680 to 8448. With a core base frequency of 2340MHz and an acceleration frequency of 2610MHz, this card promises enhanced performance. In the memory department, it features a 256-bit 16GB GDDR6X with an equivalent frequency of 21GHz and a bandwidth of 672GB/s. The power consumption is recorded at 285W. NVIDIA asserts that its performance is 1.6 times faster than the RTX 3070 Ti, and with DLSS 3 activated, it can lead by 2.5 times.
RTX 4080 SUPER
Finally, NVIDIA will debut the RTX 4080 SUPER on January 31st, with prices in China at 8099 yuan (about $1144). The core designation from RTX 4080 AD103-300 to AD103-400, with a 5% increase in CUDA core count from 9728 to 10240. NVIDIA RTX40 Super has a core base frequency of 2295MHz and an acceleration frequency of 2550MHz, this card offers specifications. In the memory aspect, it adopts a 256-bit 16GB GDDR6X with an equivalent frequency of 23GHz and a bandwidth of 736GB/s. The power consumption reaches 320W, providing high Shader TFLOPS, RT TFLOPS, and AI TOPS. Specifically tailored for 4K ray tracing games, the RTX 4080 SUPER outperforms the RTX 3080 Ti by 1.4 times. With frame generation and DLSS 3 technologies enabled, it can lead by 2 times. Notably, its gaming performance surpasses the 4080 with a lower price point.
In general, NVIDIA RTX 40 SUPER series graphics cards are not only more powerful, but also cheaper than the previous generation.
